Q: Dear Carissa, what is your biggest fear and how do you not let it get in the way of your dreams?

RJ says:

What am I afraid of? Some days it feels like everything! After watching this episode, I have been trying to think of what my biggest fear is. I was thinking on the areas in my life that I struggle with the most. Social anxiety, low self-worth, having a hard time saying no, not being assertive, difficulty starting new projects. I think my biggest fear might be a fear of rejection. I am not sure, I need to ponder some more upon it.

    Carissa Walford says:

Lack of Self love and self worth is a big part of questioning everything you do and it makes sense if you have low self esteem everything feels hard. I totally appreciate where you’re coming from, and would say you’re doing the right thing by taking some time to just reflect, journal and slowly figure out what the overarching issue is. Xxx always here if you need.

      RJ says:

Thank you! Keeping a journal really has helped me keep a better mindset. I am still working on incorporating a mantra into my daily life, sometimes I forget.
I was curious about something…the clap at the beginning of Dear Carissa, episodes. Does it have a special meaning? Is it a signal of “It is time to begin.”? Is it a clearing of energies in the room? It feels so purposeful!

        Carissa Walford says:

What about something like “I’m taking time to make space for myself so I can get clearer on who I am.”

You deserve to take a step back from the world and really start tuning into you! Even if that’s journalling and seeing what comes out over the next fe months, just know it’s a process and you’ve gotta be so kind to yourself.

The clap is actually just a technical thing to sync the sound to the vision on camera. But I love how you have interpreted this. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

          RJ says:

Thank you for the suggestion. I wrote it on top of my journal page for tomorrow so I can think on it when I write in it when I wake.
I went down the internet rabbit-hole reading about clapping. It does look like some people do believe clapping can clear negative or stagnant energies from a room. There are some interesting articles on the subject!
